Our latest InspirOcean board ‘Home’ looks at some of the top trends for your home in Autumn and Winter.
We asked OceanJ founder Gail to share her home accessorising skills and the reasons for choosing this collection.
“It will come as no surprise to OceanJ followers that I have a love of colour and unusual collections, especially when it comes to home-ware” says Gail.
‘Looking at where fashion is heading for Autumn and Winter it’s no shock to see that we are heading toward an eccentric and individual feel to our home accessories. There is a definite, leaning toward quirky, statement pieces, from candles and diffuser to wall hangings, everything is shifting away from the neutral colours that have been so in fashion of late, even the packaging of candles is becoming ever more adventurous.
‘This article from the Telegraph caught my eye for it’s on trend predictions: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/lifestyle/interiors/10457197/Interiors-top-20-trends-for-this-winter.html
‘I especially like the fact it recognises the importance candles now play in home decor
Candles and Diffusers: the must have home accessory
“Here at OceanJ we offer a selection of candles and diffusers for every occasion, from the whimsical ‘Gin & Tonic’, part of the new collection from Thomas Street recently added to our home collections to the more traditional (and stylish) Katie Loxton classics. Max Benjamin is also a firm favourite with oceanJ clients.
Home Stationery: It just has to be stylish
“Gone are the days of the generic lined notebook” continues Gail. “Today home stationery has to be stylish, individual and quirky, that’s why Busy B is perfect. This contemporary collection is affordable, stylish, chic and very on trend. Our selection covers every eventuality, from sticky notes to planners, each perfect as a home accessory that adds a touch of style to what could be otherwise a mundane essential.
‘And then there is the desire to adorn our walls with creative pieces that make our living spaces so much more fun.
Miho: Makes Homes Magical
‘Miho Unexpected Things is a brand that caught my eye because it is absolutely unique. Each piece is a work of art and looks stunning wherever it is placed in the home.
‘Miho arrives flat packed and is very easily assembled. Once completed your home will be transformed by the colourful pieces. I chose Miho for OceanJ because it is always on trend and always extra special.
‘All of the indicators suggest the top trends for Autumn and Winter will be highly personalised and individual, and i hope you like the collection put together for our latest InspirOcean board;
