Pink & Orange: The edit.
Gail’s loaded the latest #InspirOcean board to our homepage, packed full of fabulous pink and orange accessories to make your summer wardrobe sizzle.
We take a look at why these two clashing colours work so well together.
Pink and orange, the edit
A bold statement from OceanJ founder Gail, this combination of colours is incredibly complex and in theory shouldn’t work. Pink is a cool colour and Orange is warm, all the laws of colour theory state that clashing colours shouldn’t work together, yet this combo really does… and has done for many years now.
It started on the runway at the annual, global fashion weeks, high end designers put the colours together in strong patterns and fabulous fabrics to create a moment that shocked, and shock it did. Fashionista’s were outraged at what was seen as rule breaking and it was shunned in the first instance.
But, slowly and surely it crept into the mainstream and became something acceptable. Now it is a given that these two contrasting colours actually compliment each other and give a unique twist to fashion.
So Gail has chosen a selection of fabulous items that, when pulled together to create an outfit will look absolutely on trend, stylish and daring.
From vivid bags to multi coloured scarves that throw into the mix even more splashes of colour, and the absolute must have animal print pouches that are the essential item this season. Add into the equation the uber cool wrap around bracelets that have been seen everywhere of late, and the ubiquitous retro style sunglasses, all must have pieces, and your summer wardrobe is almost complete.
All that’s left to complete your summer capsule wardrobe is an absolute on trend, must have…

Get your summer sorted and make sure your clashing colours, especially pink and orange make you as cool as can be in the hot balmy months of summer.
