Early Spring 2016 will see Ocean Jewellery close our store on Lothian Road, Edinburgh and become an exclusive online store. This is a deliberate decision, one that was implemented to help us move forward with the everyday challenges of running a shop and the surge of online activities.
Our plans for 2016 include our name changing from Ocean jewellery to OceanJ, a sharper update of our brand that fit’s in with today’s modern world. A new website is being launched, www.oceanj.co.uk, in the Spring to become more consumer friendly, helping make shopping online an easier exercise for all.
With this change we will bring a variety of new and exciting product lines to our portfolio, adding to our existing lines Gail Klevan, Katie Loxton, Ayala bar, Hazel Atkinson, Paperthinks, Max Benjamin, Powder scarves etc. We have also been very busy finding new collections to bring you, our valued customer, including jewellery from Ladies Who Lunch and Spanish Jewellery Designer “Ras”.
Our aim is to ‘touch base’ with all of our customers, old and new, firstly to say Thank You for your continued support and secondly to share with you all our plans. We want to build an online community using all of our different social media channels so whether you connect with us using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest check out our links below where you can read our blogs or simply keep “in the loop”. We promise not to bombard you with a constant stream of emails and you probably will not hear from us again until the new website is ready to go live.
The new website will have video reviews of new collections and a Q&A with the Designer of the Month. We will take to ‘vlogging’ to share news and views and there will be face-time personal shopping available which allows you to see the product in situ, i.e. a bracelet on a wrist! The site will also offer special promotions and a bespoke gift-wrapping service. Moving to an online store allows us to offer more exclusive ranges at better prices. It also allows us to run better promotions and special offers that you will be able to access easily.
I hope www.oceanj.co.uk will become the destination point for all the beautiful jewels and accessories we have become renowned for and we are very much looking forward to sharing this new exciting venture with you.
